  • Counsel for employer in Serpa v. California Surety Investigations (215 Cal. App. 4th 695) reversing a trial court’s denial of employer’s petition to compel arbitration and finding unilateral right-to-modify clause did not make the arbitration agreement unconscionable.
  • Obtained summary judgment in a case involving claims of age and disability discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination brought against a health care system.
  • Successfully arbitrated claim for compensatory and punitive damages by a prominent area physician against medical group client, resulting in an extremely favorable award.
  • Obtained summary judgment in federal court in a case alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, including claims of racial harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination brought against a national commercial services company.
  • Obtained complete judgment for defense contractor in $10 million employment suit.
  • Obtained summary judgment of all claims in case involving allegations of national origin discrimination, wrongful termination, and an allegedly unlawful “English Only” policy brought against a national telecommunications company.
